President Mwinyi opened the Kizimkazi Festival and urged people to use it to boost tourism, trade, and investment in Zanzibar’s blue economy. He called for a shift to modern deep-sea fishing and support for seaweed farming to grow the economy. The festival also promotes culture, community projects, and attracts many visitors from Tanzania and abroad.
